Premium finishes are durable, but they are not maintenance-free. Ten minutes a week is all it takes.

Wipe dry, do not scrub

Most water spotting is mineral deposit, not damage. A soft dry cloth after use prevents almost all of it. Abrasive pads permanently dull brushed and matte finishes.

Avoid acidic and chlorine cleaners

Bleach and descaling acids attack the protective coating on mixers and shower heads. Mild soap and warm water are sufficient for weekly cleaning.

Clear shower head nozzles monthly

Silicone nozzles on modern rain heads can be rubbed clear with a thumb, restoring even flow without any chemicals.

Service concealed valves every few years

Cartridges in concealed shower valves are consumable parts. Replacing one early is far cheaper than reopening a tiled wall after a leak.
