The sink is the single most-used fixture in a Singapore kitchen. Material choice determines how it looks after five years of daily cooking.

Granite composite

Made from crushed stone bound in resin, granite sinks resist heat, scratches and staining, and they absorb noise well. Matte black and grey finishes are currently the most requested in our showroom.

Stainless steel

Still the workhorse. Look for 304-grade steel at 1.2mm thickness or better, with sound-deadening pads underneath. It is the most forgiving material for heavy woks and stockpots.

Ceramic and fireclay

Beautiful in a classic kitchen and extremely stain-resistant, but heavier and less tolerant of dropped cast iron. Best paired with reinforced cabinetry.

Undermount or top-mount

Undermount sinks let you sweep crumbs straight into the bowl and look cleaner with solid-surface countertops. Top-mount is simpler to retrofit into an existing counter.
